Unity Shelter

Who We Are

Founded in January 2020, Unity Shelter was imagined as an umbrella organization for Room at the Inn, SafePlace, and Corvallis Men's Shelter to join under a single entity. Since Unity Shelter's inception, the organization continues to grow programs and operations to meet the growing demand for shelter, respite, resource navigation, and community. By understanding the needs of the community we serve, Unity Shelter continues to meet people where they're at, and walk side-by-side as people transition into safe, permanent housing. Unity Shelter envisions a community where lack of housing or shelter is rare, brief, and nonrecurrent, and where all people have a safe and stable place to live, connect, and thrive.

What We Do

Unity Shelter’s mission is to provide safe shelter through community care. Our services include 100 emergency shelter beds, transitional housing, and a hygiene center to meet basic needs for people experiencing homelessness. Our programs provide safety, meals, showers, laundry, device charging, clothing, hygiene products, mail service, and more. Unity Shelter also has a care team to help guests with medical needs, advocacy, and resource navigation within the healthcare system. We partner with local non-profits to provide housing case management and referrals for other client needs. All of Unity Shelter’s programs are low-barrier, so anyone in need can access our services and support.
